Faith

I have faith without feeling, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t nice to feel sometimes.

I have faith without seeing, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy walking around blind.

I have faith with nothing but believing, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t wish there was something to hold onto.

I have faith that Jesus is my best friend, but that doesn’t mean I’m never lonely.

I have faith that someday I’ll understand why everything works like it does, or that it will somehow stop mattering so much, but that doesn’t make it easier to understand right now.

I don’t have faith because I understand it, because I like it, or because I’m just too stupid to figure everything out.

I have faith simply because I have nothing else.
